GET TO PORTIVECHJU
Renting a car or taking a taxi is usually necessary to reach towns near the airports. Bastia Airport has a shuttle service (Bastia Poretta Airport/Bastia Train Station) almost every hour for €8, except in the evening when the interval is longer. The last bus departs at 10:45 PM.
Warning: distances are long in Corsica and taking a taxi to reach Porto-Vecchio can be very expensive: between €150 and €200 from Ajaccio or Bastia.
Warning: In winter, if you are coming from Ajaccio and need to cross the Vizzavona Pass, it is advisable to check road conditions with the Corsican Roads Control Center (PC Routes de Corse): 04 95 46 17 12 and to consult the live webcams.
